About Navi

At Navi, our mission is to put effective mental health tools in the hands of every teen. Many things can tell a young person they're not alone. A select few can hand them something to actually solve their most pressing challenges. Built on the single-session intervention model backed in research  by Navi co-founder Dr. Jessica Schleider, Navi helps teens ages 13–18 take a meaningful step forward in a single activity to help them feel more in control, more capable, and more connected: no waitlist, no referral, no cost. We are more than an app. We are a case for what evidence-based, publicly funded youth mental health care should look like.

Our values shape how we build and how we show up: Evidence First, Teen-Designed, Human-Centered, Accountable, and Safe. We believe support should leave a young person more capable than it found them, so everything we build hands them a skill they keep.

In New Mexico, Navi is funded by the New Mexico Health Care Authority and free to every teen in the state. Our Youth Advisory Board shapes the product directly. Together with community partners, we're reaching young people where they already are.

The Role

We're building a team of part-time Community Engagement Partners across New Mexico's regions. Each Partner owns a region and is responsible for making Navi known, trusted, and used there. You'll work directly with teens and with the adults around them (families, school counselors, educators, healthcare providers, and community leaders) through presentations, school partnerships, events, and local outreach.

Hours are flexible and self-managed, and include some evenings and weekends for events.

Success means real use: teens signing up and coming back, and partners who actively share Navi with the young people they serve.

What You'll Do

Build relationships and activate partners

  • Build a pipeline of organizations that already reach teens in your region: schools, tribal and Pueblo youth programs, clinics, after-school and recreation programs, libraries, faith communities, and nonprofits

  • Make first contact, explain clearly what Navi is (and isn't), and assess fit

  • Move partners from interest to action: a newsletter mention, a staff briefing, a social post, posters and QR codes on site, a slot at their event, or an introduction to other organizations

  • Help partners get listed as local resources in the app

  • Keep contacts, conversations, and next steps current in the team CRM

Show up in person

  • Find and vet the events, venues, and communities where teens actually are, not only the adults who serve them

  • Maintain a rolling 45 to 60 day calendar of committed and prospective activity

  • Own each event end to end: applications and fees, logistics, setup, breakdown, and a short post-event report

  • Attend roughly 3 to 6 events per month, flexing with the season

  • Manage your inventory of branded materials (postcards, flyers, signage, stickers, giveaways), track what goes out, and flag reorders at least 3 weeks ahead

  • Get posters and materials into schools, partner sites, and community spaces, and email partners new resources as they become available

Bring back what you learn

  • Capture feedback from teens and partners and keep a running log

  • Log recurring questions, sign-up friction, and feature requests so they shape the product and our messaging

  • Help recruit teens for Navi's paid Youth Ambassador program and Youth Advisory Board

Stay connected to the team

  • Weekly check-in with the VP of Partnerships, or an end-of-week report

  • Periodic team sessions on pipeline and strategy

Training and Support

You won't be figuring this out alone. Every Partner receives:

  • Onboarding on Navi, how it works, and how we approach community partnerships

  • Equipment needed for the role

  • Ongoing coaching and support from the VP of Partnerships

What We're Looking For

  • Deep roots in the communities in your region

  • Experience in community outreach, youth development, education, public health, organizing, or a similar field

  • Comfort presenting to groups of teens, parents, educators, and professionals

  • Organized and self-directed; able to run your own calendar, pipeline, and inventory

  • Clear, consistent communication and follow-through

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Ability to pass a background check (required; this role works with youth)

Strongly preferred

  • Fluency in Spanish

  • Experience working with tribal and Pueblo communities, rural communities, or Spanish-speaking families

  • Existing relationships with schools, clinics, or youth-serving organizations in your region

  • Comfort with a CRM or shared tools like Google Drive

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of event materials

  • Able to set up and break down tables, signage, and displays

  • Able to stand and engage with the public for extended periods at events

How to Apply

Please email your resume and a note with your interest in the role to hello@meetnavi.com . Please include in your note about which part of New Mexico you know best and why this work matters to you. Interested in a region other than the Southwest?
