About Navi
Navi is a free mental wellness app that helps teens handle the ups, the downs, and everything in between: friendships, relationships, school stress, sadness, loneliness, and more. Teens create practical, bite-sized action plans they can use right away.
Navi is built on 10+ years of Single Session Support research, and co-designed with teens on our youth advisory board. There's no AI chatbot, no streak guilt, and no intrusive tracking. It's private, self-guided, and fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
Navi is free for teens wherever a sponsoring partner brings us in. Right now that includes every teen aged 13–18 in New Mexico, thanks to the New Mexico Health Care Authority, and we're expanding to Connecticut and New York next.
The Role
You'll own Navi's social presence end to end: the content calendar, the trend radar, your own posts, and the creative direction for the teens who make content with us. The goal: build a real community around Navi on social, and turn that community into app signups.
You're the person who knows what's happening on teen TikTok this week, can tell a trend worth joining from one to skip, and can turn a concept into a 15-second video a 15-year-old would actually send to a friend. Half the job is making great content yourself (that would resonate with teens). The other half is making our youth advisors and Navi Ambassadors great at it, by keeping a living bank of ideas, references, and briefs they can pull from anytime.
You won't be doing it alone. You'll work closely with our youth engagement lead, who manages our advisors and ambassadors, and with our clinical team, who make sure what we say is accurate and safe.
What You'll Do
Own the content calendar
Plan and run a weekly and monthly calendar across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms.
Balance always-on content with moments that matter: back-to-school, finals, the holidays, Mental Health Awareness Month, and Navi launches and community events.
Track what's working and adjust. We care about saves, shares, and signups more than vanity likes.
Stay dialed in to teen culture
Keep a constant pulse on trends, sounds, formats, memes, and slang, and know which ones fit Navi and which don't.
Move fast when a trend is worth jumping on, and know when to sit one out.
Bring the team a regular read on what teens are talking about, laughing at, and stressed about.
Create content yourself
Script, shoot, edit, and post short-form video, carousels, and stories.
Make content that moves people to act, with clear hooks and calls to action that turn views and follows into Navi signups.
Write captions and copy in Navi's voice: honest, a little funny, never corporate.
Run the idea bank for our youth creators
Build and maintain a living document of rolling content ideas, trend references, example videos, hooks, and talking points.
Send our youth advisors and Navi Ambassadors clear, creative briefs they can make their own, then give friendly feedback on their drafts.
Keep their content on-message and safe while protecting what makes it authentic: their voice.
Keep our community safe
Manage comments and DMs with care, following Navi's moderation and safety protocols.
Know when to escalate. If someone shares something concerning, you'll follow our escalation process and loop in the clinical team. You'll never be expected to handle a crisis alone. Navi is not a crisis service but we can direct people to 988 when needed.
Make sure every post reflects our values: privacy, human-built (no AI), and evidence-based.
Who You Are
You live on the platforms. You know TikTok and Instagram from the inside, not just the analytics dashboard. You can explain why a format is working, not just that it is.
You make things. 2–3+ years creating and managing social content, with a portfolio of short-form video you made yourself. Brand, creator, or personal accounts all count. Bonus if you can show content that grew an audience or drove signups, downloads, or other action. You're comfortable with CapCut, Canva, or similar tools and can turn content around quickly.
You can direct other creators. You've written briefs, given feedback, or collaborated with creators or ambassadors, and you know how to guide without flattening their voice.
You're organized. You can run a calendar, keep an idea bank fresh, and juggle your own content with a group of youth creators without dropping things.
You're careful with hard topics. You understand how to talk about mental health responsibly, and you know the difference between relatable and harmful. You always ask questions to Navi leadership for topics you aren’t sure about.
You like startup speed. You're comfortable in a small, fast-moving, mission-driven team where you'll shape how things are done.
Bonus Points
You speak Spanish and can create or review content for bilingual teens.
You have experience reaching teens in rural communities.
You've worked in youth programs, schools, health, or mental wellness.
You've done community moderation and know how to handle sensitive comments or DMs.
How to Apply
Send us three things:
Your portfolio, resume or LinkedIn.
Links to 3–5 pieces of content you made, plus one sentence on why each worked.
A short creative prompt: one trend you'd jump on for Navi this month, and a 3–5 line brief you'd send a teen creator to make it. Keep it rough; we want to see how you think, not polished production.
No cover letter needed.

Why Navi
You'll help change how teens find support, at statewide scale, from the start. We're a small team, so your ideas ship fast and your work is visible.
We build tools that actually help, not ones designed to keep teens scrolling. If you want your feed skills to do some real good, we want to hear from you.
